The Enchanted Life resonated so deeply in me! I read and re-read it in my ‘sandwich-generation’ years as my identity disintegrated in the bottomless sea of caregiving. I didn’t know who I was, but I knew I wanted enchantment! I later explored many of the other enchanted beings highlighted in that work. Very glad to find you here!

I'm so grateful for your work and so grateful that you are sharing it with us! I have followed some similar pathways to yours, and am now working full time as a writer (first novel is coming out this April). My work is involved with feminist fantasy and fairytale-like worlds and reimagining life as women come together in non-patriarchal spaces. I've been a devotee of fairytales and enchantment from my earliest memories. I am about to embark on reading everything you have written, to absorb it all. If you were here, you would see me practically jumping up and down with delight.

Yes, I cannot agree more with you. I am so grateful for Sharon Blackie and I keep learning more and more from her and other women of wisdom, too. We are so lucky!!!!!!Each time I listen to her books on audible I learn something new. What is the name of your first novel that is coming our in April? I would like to read it. Blessings,

Agreed on all points! The book is Journey to Everland Bay. It comes out April 25th and is available for preorder now--is also available at all the usual places though if you don't see it on the shelves, you can order it from your favorite local bookstore or library. Thank you for asking!

Your work is impressive and important--a revisitation of the Indigenous world perspective, focusing on achieving balance, harmony and contentment within the insanity of the modern world. A worthwhile recommendation to Wolf Tracks Followers. Subscribe to Sharon's site

I discovered substack over a year ago and initially continued my blog on it writing as I felt the call. But I haven’t written in sometime as I have just not felt any words welling up. But that is subject to change as always. I was so delighted when you moved to substack and your Hearth offering has kept my heart from being too amiss after the ending of Hagitude program. You continue to offer me such deep compost to grow and expand my own journey and understanding of self in relationship to, well, everything.

Good Evening Sharon Blackie, you may be aware of this show on Prime or maybe not - but I do want to share it with you. It's called the LOST FLOWERS. Sigourney Weaver is the the main character. A very powerful story about Women's Journeys. A book threads through it and its about the SELKIE. It's a beautiful and deeply painful tale. But well done. One I much can relate to. Thank you again for introducing me to the SELKIE Story in Hagitude. Many Blessings, LA @ Flying BRA

Yes, the writer of the book, Holly Ringland, came to one of my retreats in Ireland a few years ago.

I’m new here and your newsletter is one of the first I’ve stumbled on. How exciting!!! I have a book series I’ve stopped working on because I couldn’t figure out if it was magical realism or fantasy, but after reading here I’m thinking it’s an enchanted series 💝 Also, when I click on the manage subscription it says you can’t do that in the app....hopefully that’s something that’s changing 🤷‍♀️

I've also been on Substack for a year and am ready to fully commit to this platform. It's a fabulous space to find like-minded friends, to read beautiful and intelligent words, and to develop my own writing. It's inspiring to hear your positivity and see the energy you put into making connections. Lots of good wishes to you for the future of your Substack, Sharon.

When I checked your offering last year you were offering dream interpretation courses and such. Are you offering anything like this for this year? More course-related work.

With thanks,

Lorna

I can imagine it is a bit of a relief to consolidate. For now, I know I’m happy to find a community here on Substack of which I consider you the founder! Writers I have come to know through you or through those you have introduced me to.

Thank you for all your shared words and wisdom. I’m looking forward to seeing your new use of the space.

Thanks for being so bubbly and excited;

Sounds like the stream beside your new home is gurgling through you to us. So wonderful that you can keep writing and inspiring our roots to deepen and connect at this time as we are all called to review our own ways of being and sharing with this world: a Clan of sorts..

I'm new to Substack and I completely agree with your assessment. This place is wonderful. It's been hard to find a platform online specifically geared towards nurturing writers, and Substack is that place.

I just discovered your work and I look forward to reading it.
