Thank you for this discussion ... I've come back to it to make a point.

Your 'Gift' in writing ... takes the reader on an enchanting journey ... we become one with the book ... the character, if we identify with it becomes us! We can cry, laugh or be aghast at the weaving of your tapestry such that it comes alive in us.

As a woman in her 80's I've become more enchanted with life because I can 'Choose' where I pay attention.

I had taken a journey in 2017 to Gary Cook's Riva Haven where he captured the song of the plants ... using electrodes and a recorder we could here them sing ... I was using a fern at the time softly fluttering it across my face ... He stopped his discussion and asked "What are you doing with that fern" my response was "I am loving her and she is loving me" ... for that is how I feel about the plants, the trees, and much of Nature. It loves us ... if only we could open to see and feel that. Even the so called 'rocks' have stories within them ... perhaps they are really gnomes just changing form.

Recently I took out old VHS Tapes of Cinderella, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, etc. re-listened with the heart of a child to this wonder filled world of imagination and dreams. I look outside my window at the Hummingbirds at the feeder ... they are not frightened of me ... and I just enjoy them. I give them personalities, as do the charming little lizards that zip across my flagstone on one journey or another ... stopping to do their push-ups briefly.

Perhaps ... at this age ... I have let go of the cynicism that was 'so cool' at a young age when we tried to be ever so sophisticated (smoking that cigarette and letting the smoke drift out through our nose or lips ... using 'the stuff' of fashion to cloak ourselves as a mask because we were so uncertain and insecure as to our place in the world.

Now ... I have nothing to hide or prove ... and can dance to my own music ... disconnect from the discordant world of politics and truly relish the sentinels of beauty called trees!

"There is power in the possible and opportunity in new beginnings. Through the Eyes of the Old Ones, enchanted eyes sparkling with primal creativity, ancient imagination, and sensuous mystery, you can find opportunity rich with invention and innovation, and you can find those cherished second chances in order to begin anew or to begin again. Open to the possible. Open to beginning anew."
