Thank you A lovely tale I really appreciate you bringing the tradition of Well Dressing to light

I discovered only recently that it was a big part of our local cultural history in the town where I was born

Though many of the wells have been covered and the tradition was quashed

I would love for the wells to be brought back and these traditions welcomed back Our history preserved 💗

I was just eating oats for breakfast, before a morning of cleaning and chores, and am surprised to admit this beautiful story has brought me to tears. Without gratitude and an eye for beauty, we really would have 'thrown out the luck'. Thank you for this, Sharon.

As a child I lived in Derbyshire and remember our family visits to the Well Dressings. Most of my life has been in Austin Texas US. Thank you, Sharon, for bringing back such lovely memories. Hopefully, I can learn more about those roots that made me who I am today. Pam

This story delights me as I have been blessed to have a brownie for many, many years. She comes with me even if I move to another place. I finally thought to ask for her name - Matilda. She is prankish but never in a bad way. When I had a private practice in energy work, I kept essential oils in an upper cabinet and would occasionally find that they had been moved around. I made a special little Zen Garden for her with sparkly items. I've also been blessed in my lifetime to have seen and communicated with various elementals - fairies, gnomes, tree spirits.

What an enchanting story, it's made my morning, thank you so much.

I have only visited one well dressing. It was in Derbyshire, at the church close to the entrance to Hardwick Hall estate, just to the left of Stainsby Mill (both well worth a decent visit or more). The well dressed flower picture was lovely to see and I'm now wondering why I never went back. But I think it was around this time of year so I will investigate further.

Again, thank you XXX
