Just a quick email to all subscribers to ‘The Art of Enchantment’ – whether free or paying – to say thank you for being interested enough to read my random ramblings in this Substack publication, which only sprang into being in June.
Sharon, you inspire so many! Thank you for all you give!
You have changed my life. While reading _If Women Rose Rooted_ for the first time, I felt compelled to walk to the river who runs from the ice field above our city through my neighborhood. In the year and a day that I committed to visiting her, she became my friend and elder. I told her stories I learned from you and she gave me countless gifts of rocks, roots, and wisdom. Thank you for directing my feet onto this particular path, which is leading me to writing stories sprouting from the land I walk and pollinated by my ancestry.
May seeds of new life grow in the darkness of your winter, ready to sprout in the spring.
Sharon, thanks for an encouraging bookmark to the quiet time of the year. We have simple holidays currently, with an old dog to cherish. I found myself unexpectedly sad reading my blog posts about Christmases past, but with a lightening heart, too, as I look forward to returning to Quebec.
Thank you for your voice in the world. It’s appreciated. All best wishes for a good transformative year ahead.
I think you were my first Substack subscription, Sharon. Many thanks for all of your beautiful sharing. I have enjoyed your books immensely, as well as the articles here. But, I think possibly my favorite offering of yours was/is (because I still listen to it) a guided meditation with wolves from one of your courses (I forget the name!) It is pure Magic. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! xo
Gratitude for all your deep work Sharon, your writing, dreaming, thinking. And - the sharing of your own personal journeys. The community and imagining you cultivate lifts me up, inspires me, and gives me hope!
Merry Yule and happy Christmas, Sharon and family! And a blessed Mother's Night, too. Grateful you share your gifts with us so generously throughout the year, and inspire us to go deeper into these winter days and nights. Winter here is harsh and long, and I struggle with a life lived indoors and the sense of limits. All the more reason to expand my inner landscapes. Earth hold you and keep you.
Thank you for being such an inspiration and a bright light in my life. I have been Going through so many big changes in the last past year that I look so forward to your letters and insight.
Warmest wishes to you and the animals. If I may paraphrase Chaucer ‘May all your dreams turn to good.’ Happy Christmas with gratitude for your generosity of spirit and inspirational newsletters.
From one Sharon to another Sharon…THANK YOU……. I am loving this connection and adore your books & scribblings full of wisdom, insight’s & knowledge. Like you we are planning a quiet time with our animal friends.
2 rescued collies ( getting elderly now) 4 furry purry cats the 2 “kittens” siblings of nearly 6 . I am looking forward to them getting older so they won’t terrorise & kill my poor birds. Also my pet hens now only 2 left, Blackie & Hattie hen., but there will be more as soon as we move. We too are starting afresh, sold our house having manifested the first person to see it would buy it, & they offered more than I focused on. Working with the flow of the Universe it so amazing!!!! As are you.
This is an entire season for quiet reflection for us. We take an hour or two to entertain our little grandson each day, walk our dog and feed the few sheep and chickens we have left, but then spend the rest of our days in dreaming, reading and discussing our plans for the gardens next year and our old age, as if at 70 and 81 we had not already reached it!
Reading Hagitude is supporting me in accepting that what others have dismissed as my long-standing peculiarity is actually a blessing. You don't know me, but I think of you as a friend, someone who openly discussed their own beliefs, thoughts and feelings that so often resonate with my own. Thank you.
Enjoy the peace of today as you prepare and strengthen yourself for change.

A year and a day – the perfect length for a mythic apprenticeship! That sounds beautiful.
Your writing is one of my highlights. Thank you for all you bring to the world. Enjoy your quiet time.
